I have purchased two of these cubes on 2 different occasions for close friends who've lost loved ones. Rather than sending flowers, which quickly fade and get lost in a sea of condolences during a funeral, I get a good headshot of their loved one and find an inscription that captures the essence of the deceased. In both instances, the bereaved were incredibly inspired and grateful for the beautiful way to remember their loved one.I can't imagine getting one without the lighted base, which enhances the display. Also, I bite the bullet and go with the largest size. I fear something smaller just wouldn't have the same effect, but maybe others have tried the smaller versions with good results.I'm also amazed that they did this incredibly fast yet it turned out flawless.
